Group 3.  Treatment alternatives to incarceration under judicial supervision for drug-dependent offenders
Paramaribo, Suriname, in collaboration with Ghent, Belgium, hosted the workshop and exchange visit among judges and prosecutors to support the first Drug Treatment Court pilot project in Suriname.  

The group 3, on treatment Alternatives to Incarceration for Drug-Dependent Offenders, aims to allow participants (judicial system, including individual judges and prosecutors; treatment centers; individual health care professionals; city officials; national representatives in the area of drug treatment) to study and compare different models of treatment alternatives to incarceration.
